Power Electrics

Power Electrics provide a single source solution for diesel generator hire, sales, service and parts. They have grown from a small yard in 1963, to operating out of five locations across the country, including a London sales office and the UK’s largest purpose built generator depot, with a fleet of over 1200 generators and 25 HGVs.

Enhanced were asked to help Power Electrics review their office desktop print, copy and scan requirements. Together with Power Electrics IT department we conducted a full audit, analysing both print volumes, spend on each device and any daily pain points for users.

Power Electrics knew the benefits of a managed solution as they currently use a fully functional managed service on their main A3 office multifunctional devices. However, this project was intended to replace the additional off the shelf desktop devices, in place throughout their many offices. Power Electrics required the smaller A4 machines to have the same functionality as the larger devices, in terms of being able to scan multiple pages and a full maintenance provision should a fault occur. Their current A4 machines were also struggling to cope with the businesses volume throughput. Power Electrics were aware unnecessary amounts were being spent buying ink cartridges, of which each required manually ordering by staff. Partnering with a leading industry expert was a priority for Power Electrics.

Enhanced are delighted to be appointed Power Electrics new print partner and we installed a fully managed solution. Despite the new fleet of machines having a higher capital cost compared to the legacy devices, the new solution will provide far lower running costs via a per copy maintenance plan, meaning the total cost of ownership has been significantly reduced. Additionally, all replacement cartridges are now remotely ordered, taking away the manual staff process and with Enhanced’s strict service level agreement, Power Electrics have full peace of mind that if a service request is required, it will be responded to correctly and resolved in the agreed time.

All devices are set to low power mode when not in use during the working day and our used toner recycling scheme means both Power Electrics and Enhanced maintain their important environmental policies.
